Finca La Arhuaca — coffee, cacao, and living culture

Finca La Arhuaca is a small family farm above Minca. The visit feels personal and authentic. Guides welcome you with warmth and clear English or Spanish. You learn about coffee, cacao, and Indigenous heritage in one hands-on session. Reviews praise the kindness of the family and the value of the tour. Travelers also love the fresh cinnamon rolls and mountain views.

What you do on the tour

You start among coffee and cacao trees. The guide shows plant care, harvest times, and shade management. Next, you visit the work area and follow each step. Beans are roasted, ground, and brewed in front of you. Cacao is fermented, dried, roasted, and ground on stone. You help with several steps, which makes learning easy and fun. Finally, you taste hot chocolate, fresh coffee, and a house treat.

Culture that gives meaning to every cup

Finca La Arhuaca belongs to a family with Indigenous roots. Carlos and his parents share stories with care and respect. You see cultural objects and hear how traditions guide farming. Because of this context, each taste carries a place and a history. Guests leave with a deeper link to Minca and its people.

Practical notes for your visit

The farm sits a short walk from town. Some paths are steep, so closed shoes help. Moto taxis are available if you prefer. Tours often include drinks, a cinnamon roll, and the chance to buy coffee and chocolate. The family also offers a simple lunch on request. Monkeys and birds are sometimes seen around the trees, which adds to the charm.
